Addicted to each ather page

I would like to share a page that was inspired by two of my the most favourite challenges

Firstly Once Upon a Sketch provided this totally awesome sketch

and the theme for the months: 'Totally  Addicted to...'.

The second challenge website is fantastic Scrap Around The World that provided this fantastic inspiration board:

Colours, reds, pinks and love-harts on the SATW board and the journalling subject from OUAS made me want to make a page about myself and my husband, so there it is:

The journalling is on the tag behind the photo and it tells how much two of us depends on each other and love each other after being 20+ years together despite of some occasional downs.

For this page I used some Prima embellishments, Tim Holtz tickets and love-harts and alpha dies, chipboard by scrap matrix (or something like that) .

The background is created using white cardstock,  gesso, modelling paste, stencils, stamps, archival inks and FC Gellatos. Pattern papers are very old by Fancy Pants.

And one close-up:

Thank you very much for your visit and any comments.

Have a lovely day

'Black and White' Page and a Birdhouse

Hello lovely people

I have quick post for you today. A page I recently made for do-crafts forum, and was originally black and white as per challenge, but I had a big urge to put some colour on it:

So I took FC Gellato in turquoise colour and accented some areas.

The background was made from white cardstock, stamps, archival inks, gesso and printed tissue paper all by Tim Holtz. The letters are die cuts using Tim Holtz dies, grungeboard, gesso, rock candy distress crackle paint and gellato on the top.  The page is embellished with Prima bits, button is by Ranger, not sure of chicken wire chipboard as came without original packaging. Silk ribbon is by Pink Paislee which I had for ages.
.
A close-up (before I added green):

The second project I would like to share is a little bird house I decorated for a swap in my local scrapbooking group 'Crop Tarts':

Used distress paints and inks, dies and embossing folder. The birdie is by Prima.

Hope you like those projects and thank you very much for your visit.

Follow Your Dreams Pages

Hi everybody

I know I made again a big a break from blogging, I do keep saying myself that I will be more regular here, but it is hard to keep up with everything.

I would like to share with you three pages, two of them I made nearly a year ago and the third one is the recent page.

It is abut my two daughters, the first one wanted to go to the stage school and after chasing me for few years I enrolled them both, back in 2012. Two pages are about their preparation for the first big show and the third is photo from the actual show.

As I said, I made those two pages more then a year ago, when I got this Prima kit. The third page featuring my 2nd DD on the stage, one of songs they sang was Jack n' Jill, that why I chose this Prima Jack and Jill collection papers.

On the third page, I also added some other embellishments, like those Kaisercraft wooden arrows, new Prima bling and flowers and some of my hand made flowers and I used Prima package at the back of my photo. These are made to be used in projects aren't they? You can also notice change in my style, even none of these pages is true mixed media, the first two I based on the sketch and I stick with it, while the third page is more about throwing layers of ink and paper and photo on a top, plus embellishments to around it, more free style - influence from Finn's workshop.

I hope you like those pages. At the end there are couple of close-ups:

And their story from the stage school, well, my big daughter had no time to continue in this year and decided to give up the stage school and keep her Irish dancing, even she is still dreaming of being being movie maker. The little one is still going and we are looking forward to watch her again this year.
I have few more pages to do from this event, I also have lots of pages from 2013 that I haven't shared yet, so watch out this space.

Have a nice time all of you and thank you for your visit.

Missed Challenges

Hi,

I tried to play along some challenges back in June and July, one of them was Scrap Around The World and the second for Do Crafts forum. As I said in my previous post, my summer was very busy: work and then trip to my home country, so the pages were left unfinished for while..

So there is my first page:

Lots of mists, stamps, stencils, modelling paste, Prima flowers, chipboard are by Petaloo, alphabets are Prima stickers and Tim Holtz die. No pattern paper on this page.

The second page is:

Here I used mists, paste and stencils to create background, some pattern paper as well and cheese cloths - my recent discovery, some Prima flowers, pearls and wooden camera... Note, both of these pages were finished before I attended to Anna's class, I would probably do few things differently if I left them for later :)

Both pages featuring photos from our holiday in Fuerteventura when visiting beautiful Jandia.

Thank you very much your visit, hope I will post something soon again.

Finnbair's Workshop

Hi everybody,

Hope somebody will still read my blog :). I know it has been while I posted last time, I have no excuse, but summer always gets very busy and then the school started and things were even worse. Ok, enough of excuses and bla, bla...

I was very lucky person to attend Finnbair's workshop this weekend, check out her amazing work at tworzysko.blogspot.com , I am so happy I had opportunity to attend her class.

So with great help of Finn I managed to make this very dimensional page:

  and this canvas:

love them both, thanks Anna :)

And a close up:

This is all for today

Some Summery Pages + More Good News

Hello everybody

We are finally having some glorious sunshine and proper summer weather. Although I am not sure how long is this going to last for, I will just take each day as it comes and enjoy, maybe I should use this unique opportunity to wash all winter jackets - might dry before needed again LOL.

Now I have more good news to share - I have been featured on the Get Creative Blog Challenge with my mixed media page:

I am soooo happy about this as there were so many gorgeous entries.

Today I would like to share with you 2 pages from our last family holiday in tropical Fuerteventurra. First page I did shortly after we came back and the second page was made recently, you can tell it from my style:

Both pages use Bo Bunny papers that I bought last year for these photos and all flowers were hand made; Sizzix dies, stamps, canvas, inks... Title of the first page is coming from the fact what they said about the ride that it was scary but fun :).
My old DSLR camera did not like high temperatures over there, obviously is begging to be retired and replaced by something newer and better, so we were left with our mobile phone cameras and daughter's small camera, but that did not prevent us from taking lots of photos :).

Thank you very much for your visit and enjoy your day.

News to Share and a Layout for Prima BAP

Hello everybody

I have wonderful news to share with you, my layout

was chosen for 3rd place on May Berry71Bleu Challenge. There were so many gorgeous submissions and I am so honoured to be one of a chosen winners.

Now I would like to show you a page I did for May's Prima BAP Challenge. The layout had to be based on this sketch:

and one has to use Prima products, this challenge is closed now but you can find the details about the next one here.

So there is my page:

The photo is of my daughter, all products are Prima except:
inks, crinkled ribbon, alpha dies, glossy accent, plain chipboard which are all by Ranger, Glimmer mists by Tattered Angels  used for colouring Prima wooden pieces and pen is Zig Kuretake!
There is a big pull-out tag behind the photo with journalling about my daughters likes and dislikes as a newly formed teen!

Few close-ups:

Thank you so much for your visit and enjoy your day.
